RoSPA Award for Stafford’s Housing Plus Group

RoSPA Award for Stafford’s Housing Plus Group

Stafford based Housing Plus Group has won a Gold Medal award in the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2011.

The Gold Medal, which is awarded to organisations that have successfully achieved seven previous awards, will be presented at a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre, on Thursday May 19th 2011.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), a safety charity, launched its awards programme 55 years ago. The scheme looks not only at accident records, but also entrants’ overarching health and safety management systems, including important practices such as strong leadership and workforce involvement.

Jan Goode, Director of Customer Services commented on the success: “We are committed to ensuring standards and services across the business are great. Recognition from organisations like RoSPA provides us with external verification that they are absolutely the best they can be.”

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that have demonstrated their commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition. The Housing Plus Group has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.”

The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2011 are sponsored by NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), the leading health and safety professional examining body.

Three days of award ceremonies and three gala evening dinners will be held in Birmingham from May 17-19, alongside Safety & Health Expo 2011, Europe’s leading annual health and safety exhibition. An award ceremony and gala dinner will also take place in Glasgow in September.
